ila bêka & louise lemoine are the filmmakers of 'living architectures' series, that put into question the fascination with the ideas of perfection, virtuosity and infallibility of iconic architecture. as part of their world-wide launching events celebrating the completion of the seven films and DVD books, takako organised and hosted a series of london events. justin jaeckle (the architecture foundation) also joined the roundtable discussion. ‘living architectures’ demonstrates the vitality, fragility and vulnerable beauty of architecture as recounted and witnessed by people who actually live in, use or maintain the spaces. bêka and partners let the architecture talk to us, from an "inner" point of view, both personal and subjective. |
